# Content Inbox (brand memory)

> Add links, articles, ideas, and screenshots to Brand Inbox or General Inbox, then turn Brand Inbox items into drafts.

**Inbox** in the sidebar opens **Content Inbox**: “Your second brain for content ideas and brand
memory.”

Capture material here, then generate a post from a Brand Inbox item or attach items to a Planner
idea card.

## Brand Inbox vs General Inbox

Tabs at the top:

- **Brand Inbox** — scoped to the active brand. Use **Create Post** here.
- **General Inbox** — shared across brands. AI can use it as extra memory when you generate from a
  Brand Inbox item. There is no **Create Post** on General Inbox cards.

Switch brands with the sidebar footer switcher before adding Brand Inbox items.

## Add an item

1. Open **Inbox**.
2. Choose **Brand Inbox** or **General Inbox**.
3. Click **Add New** (bottom right), or **Add first item** on an empty inbox.
4. In **Add to inbox**, pick a type, fill the form, click **Save**.

If the quota is used up, the button reads **Inbox full** and opens an upgrade prompt.

### Types you can add

**Generated** is a filter for AI-generated images and videos that land in the inbox. You do not pick
it in **Add to inbox**.

Filters: **All**, then each type above. Views: feed or board (icons top right).

Screenshots, images, and videos are stored privately. Upload succeeds when the file is stored.
Image description runs on stills in the background and does not affect that. If it is still
running, you can wait for a richer source, or create a post from the file as-is. If it fails, the
file stays in the inbox.

## Turn an item into a draft

Only on **Brand Inbox**:

1. Click **Create Post** on the card.
2. In **Create post from inbox**, choose:
   - **Give a specific direction** — required **What should this post focus on?** (max 300
     characters). Optional **Content pillar**.
   - **Let AI decide from inbox context** — uses the item plus General Inbox memory.
3. Click **Create post**.

You land in the post editor. Toast: **Post draft created from inbox**.

With **Require approval** on (default), the AI draft is **Needs approval** and shows in
**Approvals**. With it off, the post is approved immediately and appears on **Scheduler** if it has
a time.

## Attach inbox items to the Planner

On a weekly idea card:

1. Click **Attach source**.
2. Pick a Brand Inbox item and click **Attach**.
3. Click **Generate Post** when you want a draft grounded in that source.

Up to 3 sources per idea card. Toast: **Post draft created using attached source**.

Deleting an inbox item does not delete linked posts. Plan attachments keep their own content.

## Limits

Inbox items are a plan cap across **all** Brand Inboxes plus General Inbox:

The dialog **Inbox limit reached** reports used/cap. Delete items or upgrade (**Settings →
Billing**). Deleting a post does not free inbox quota.

## If this fails

- **Select a brand first.** Active brand missing; pick one in the switcher.
- **Each idea card can have at most 3 attached sources.** Remove one first.
- **Create Post** missing. You are on **General Inbox**; switch to **Brand Inbox**.
- Generation quota dialog. Weekly **AI posts** allowance is used; wait for next week or upgrade.
